The studio is cleaned and I've made room for new creative ideas on my easel. Sometimes after a new year it can be hard to find your groove after the holidays. So, I made a list of everything I'd like to accomplish and it comes down to a few ways I am going to work as an artist to stay on my creative course.
1. Move my body- A healthy body = a healthy, happy mind, and mine is no different. Skiing is one of my most favorite ways I exercise in the winter months. The fresh air really helps too!
2. Cleaning my space - not only physically cleaning my art studio, but also taking older paintings and being brave enough to share or repaint them! I am already having fun working on some new pieces this way!
3. Listening more - I get a lot of ideas from my own experiences but lately I feel the need to grow as an artist by listening to other's ideas as well. For example, my daughter has been taking sunset photos and is begging me to paint one of her photographs. It should probably be one of my next paintings. Other people have asked for painting classes, and I'm working on a plan for that too.
